Fuji Warehouse’s AI Sorting Line for Almonds
In 2023, Fuji Warehouse opened an almond sorting plant in a bonded warehouse at Honmoku Pier.
This new machine allows us to remove foreign materials and any almond kernels with defects which were originally hard to distinguish from healthy whole almonds.
Along with the AI machine, we can offer a hand picking service on a sorting belt.
Depending on your request and based on the quality of original materials or the level of your own facility, we are confident that we can offer the best way to sort your product.
With our bonded warehouses, imported and exported products do not need to be delivered to another site for sorting therefore eliminating additional cost and saving time.
Main equipment
Q Sorter Sorting Line
The Q sorter detects kernels deteriorated by mold from the difference in transmittance between visible light and near-infrared light.
It removes foreign materials as well as internally deteriorated kernels.
Selective Sorting Line
This new machine allows us to remove foreign materials and any almond kernels with defects which were originally hard to distinguish from healthy whole almonds.
Along with the AI machine, we can offer a hand picking service on a sorting belt.
X-ray inspection machine (with AI)
Hard foreign materials are removed.
An optional AI function can also remove kernels with insect holes.
Metal inspection machine
Metal pieces are removed by a metal inspection machine.

Static-table sorting (other nuts)
Instead of a belt-conveyor sorting table, a static sorting table is used, and skilled staff remove defects one by one by eye.
Sorting tables are separated by material to prevent allergen cross-contact.
